How absolutely wonderful @boogs99 could get you started on finding help. This forum is invaluable to all of us. Cheers @boogs99 !!
I’ve used these guys in the past: www.xmri.com
Just make sure they know you have specific questions
Thanks. Which scan should I get reported on CT or MRI or can you use both?
If you can both? In my opinion the MRI shows brainstem compression the best along with the vertebral nerve concern. But the CT scan shows the carotid loops, and hyoid as per @CJsBattle mentioned…
Also @Isaiah_40_31 posted a couple other 2nd opinion options here: https://forum.livingwitheagle.org/t/resources-for-a-non-biased-2nd-opinion/
Either I am completely wrong about all of this, which could very well be the case ( I can’t stress this enough, I’m not a doctor) or something has gone awry with your case as this seems as though it would be fairly obvious to any radiologist.
I have to agree completely because when you show it and point it out on the images it seems pretty obvious even to me. I really couldn’t tell you why its been missed only maybe throw a few guesses as to why if this is the case.
I am trying to find somewhere to get the second opinion not having much luck so far. One popped up they don’t do my state error, and I can’t register for the other maybe it’s a US thing only.
It seems like any organization that gives second opinions on scans should be able to do it for anyone in any country unless there’s some problem w/ converting the currency rates online (which seems to be a no brainer w/ computer tech).
It shouldn’t be so difficult!!
I’ll persevere with it currently trying on the xxxmri.com I’ll let you know if I’m successful. Wandering what the turn around time is with these considering it’s the weekend will that make a difference.
It was along time ago that I used them, but it was quick. Good luck!
Did you try either of the links I posted here:
I just added the http://xmri.com/, too.
Sorry, but just to clarify I used xmri.com for something unrelated to Eagle Syndrome. I have no idea if these guys are familiar with Styloids and Jugular compressions. But with this particular case I think they should be fine…
Is it just the image files I need to upload?
Only option is for one scan so I selected MRI
I think so. As far as I can recall if it doesn’t work there will be opportunity to try again. And again do your best to communicate the concerns…
It’s currently uploading dicom files so hopefully this works. I have mentioned a few things discussed her seen on the MRI scan.
So do I get an official report that I can show the doctors here and they will accept
You will get a report from a radiologist and the hope is something will be found and your doctors will recognize a USA licensed radiologist report as legitimate.
Well it’s done hopefully it all went through properly. Do they email the report?
I can’t remember. You might have to log onto their website and find it posted there?
Excellent thanks for all the help. Will report back when I hear from them.
Yes please keep us informed. I really hope this gets you some answers.
@boogs99
I have made a possible boo boo I have uploaded a different MRI scan to the company to report on. I get easily confused with my condition and they bundled 3 scans on one disc when I asked for copies.
I am currently uploading the new MRI scan to dicom library so maybe someone can check it to see if it shows what we need. There are 1300+ images and it is MRI with contrast so hopefully should be alright.
