New member—Advice needed for internal jugular vein compression and possible angled styloid process

Skull base pain can be from collateral veins if there’s any IJV compression, shoulder pain can be from the spinal accessory nerve, both are common. And muscle knots in the neck (back or front) or shoulders in my opinion are caused by tension from ES pain, or from holding your head & neck awkwardly , it’s a vicious circle I think because the knots can trap nerves & cause more pain, so you get more tense!
If you do think about getting any sort of massage treatment, it’s best as @JGont says to be very careful & make sure they’re aware of ES. I has a myofascial release massage which is very helpful, & very gentle. One of our members wrote this paper which you could show anyone you see as well:
