@Jules @Isaiah_40_31 @lsheep Thank you for all your prayers! The surgery completed successfully without complications. No nerve damage. It’s still early to tell how much relief I get, but it feels promising. I will keep you all updated in about a week.

I’ve been thinking about you today & praying all would go well, @qchero, so I’m happy to get an update so soon after your surgery. Remember that pain can get worse between days 3-5 or 6 because that’s when post op swelling is the worst. It’s important to stick closely with your pain medication schedule, sleep w/ head elevation, & ice your neck for 15-20 min every couple of hours especially during those days, but starting that now may help keep that period less painful.
Also, if you’re taking a prescription pain medication, you’ll need to add a daily stool softener & laxative to the meds you’re taking so you don’t get constipated. You should start those tomorrow.
