I’m glad printing that info off worked for you @Isaiah_40_31 , but embarrassed as I’m not a medical professional! So @Lemontree , it might be an idea to print off one of the research papers written by doctors which mentions IJV compression, your doctor might take that seriously… There are lots, but certainly the one by Mr Axon might help as he’s a well respected UK doctor, I’ll post a couple of links:
Dr. Higgins & Dr. Axon : Spontaneous Intracranial Hypotension Complicated by Subdural Effusions Treated by Surgical Relief of Cranial Venous Outflow Obstruction - General / Research Papers - Living with Eagle
Styloidogenic-cervical spondylotic internal jugular venous compression, a vascular disease related to several clinical neurological manifestations: diagnosis and treatment-a comprehensive literature review - PubMed
This paper mentions how the vagus nerve is close to other cranial nerves & close to the styloid- your racing heart could be vagus nerve compression:
Glossopharyngeal, Vagus and Accessory Nerves: Anatomy and Pathology - ScienceDirect
If you have time, have a look through the research papers category, there might be other helpful ones!
Hope this helps
