I had surgery August 5th on my left side. Still have some pain in the base of my skull. What are the chances that the styloid has grown on the other side ? Maybe I am super sensitive to symptoms ??
For some unknown reason, in a number of us, when we had surgery on one side, it seems to ramp up the symptoms on the other side.
Do you know how long the styloid on the other side was?
Totally agree with Heidemt- it often seems to happen that post-surgery the other side plays up.
I third that opinion! I sure had a lot more pain on my second side after my first surgery, but I knew I had bilateral ES (as did Jules & Heidimt).
Mine was only 3 cm long. It was pressing on my carotid artery and one end end was spiked pressing on c1 of spine.
