Pain in the teeth

Doc did say it was from the nerve monitoring. I thought they punched me out when I was under or something  It is very odd shaped bruise though…I thought maybe from intubation also? Not sure what side of mouth that would have been on though.

I’m glad you’re making headway with all the pain. Sometimes it’s a combo of things, especially being that everything in the same area is basically connected, the EDS, and previous injury. It’s a lot. I do wake up some mornings with my tmj not in it’s socket and I have to maneuver to get it in place. The tightness there, under my chin and down my neck can be so bad that you can see the tension on one side more than the other. And that’s when I experience the ES symptoms most.

I did have TMJ specialist share that he sometimes wondered that the pain caused by elongated styloid process and calcifications was more from the tightness and tension clamping down on them. It was just a theory which he knows wouldn’t apply to those with compression issues. I know alot of my pain in morning has to do with how I sleep. I especially am prone to dislocation or ligaments over stretching because of the EDS. I can sometimes feel on the pillow my jaw being pushed out of whack but not a full dislocation like you. I hope the new appliance I will be getting will stabilize this. I cant remember, (brain fog) do you have any kind of appliance to stabilize your jaw at night?
I had a long talk with my dentist last night with a focus on the trigeminal nerve at all its branches. TMJ doc feels the condoyle is jamming up against nerves - likely trigeminal causing alot of my nerve problems in face/ear. Dentist agrees. He also made mention that people with EDS that can touch their tongue to tip of nose seem to have more nerve related facial and oral health problems. Aside from tongue thing, people with EDS tend to have more breakdown of enamel and gum disease which follows with heightened nerve pain and sensitivity. Theres no doubt I have this going on along with premature osteoarthritis in the jaw. Now that I have both styloids out, I can eliminate that as a contributing cause.
