@Sun yes, cut above C1!
Please Help Me, I Have Been Experiencing Symptoms That Might be Eagle Syndrome (Mississauga, Canada)
Dr. Cognetti doesnāt do bilateral surgeries. You would need to come for 2 separate surgeries. Dr. Cognetti charges around ~$10K USD for his part which is the styloidectomy but that also includes the cost for the hospital & maybe anesthesiologist. Dr. Heller does the IJV decompression/C1 shave if needed & his charge is ~$26K USD. The prices Iāve mentioned were given us perhaps 6 months ago so they could have changed, but that gives you an idea of the cost for each side.
Dr. Hepworth also will not do bilateral vES surgeries. His charge for vES surgeries ranges from $5-7.5K USD per side, but hospital (OR) & anesthesiology charges are separate & will be additional beyond that. I only had one side done by him (a revision styloidectomy plus IJV decompression w/o C1 shave) & havenāt had to pay anything yet. Still waiting to see how much my insurance covered.
Okay cool, got it. Thank you
Okay I see, got it. Thank you again
Thank you for citing how you got the images, Im going to look into RadiAnt now, do I just have to get a copy of my CT scan or MRI scan and send it to RadiAnt or download their software?
Youāll need to get copies of your imaging, & hopefully this tutorial will help:
RadiANT DICOM Viewer tutorial - General - Living with Eagle
Thanks Jules, Im gonna try to get my ct and mri scans, have to order a copy, I believe Iāll get a copy through CD and upload it digitally, Iāll reach out to the group if I get stuck, cant wait to finally see a 3d rendering of my hyoid bone ![]()
Isnāt that the internal jugular vein?
I believed the ICA was on the inside of the vertebra.
@Rehri - Thank you for pointing that out. I had a question mark at the end of my annotation. I have removed the image & my comment. Iām by no means a professional when it comes to annotating imaging & do make mistakes which I try to correct or eliminate, as in this case, so as not to confuse anyone.
