(Recent) experiences with Dr. Axon?

Hello everyone. Does anyone have (preferably relatively recent) experience with Dr. Axon that they’d be willing to share about? I do not live in the UK but have a virtual consult scheduled for next week because getting things done in a timely fashion is not really working out in either my home country or current country of residence. Given the lack of language barrier and his reputation, I thought I’d try Dr. Axon. However, I’ve read a number of comments about him being kind of cold/rude/dismissive. I’m hoping those are outliers, but it would be reassuring to hear from people who had positive experiences. Also, am I right in thinking that he works more with patients who have vascular symptoms? My symptoms definitely involve the nerves (tingling, numbness, overall weird sensations in head and neck and throat) but seem to correlate more closely to classic eagle syndrome with a poking/stabbing sensation in throat, major trouble swallowing, jaw and ear pain, etc.

If anyone has insights into what I might expect with Dr. Axon, I’d be grateful, even if you feel more comfortable just messaging me directly. Would be particularly interested in hearing from anyone else from outside the UK who has consulted with him online or in person. Thank you.

@Gem_ma has had surgery with him recently, you could send her a private message.
@Warrick did see him & he had set symptoms that he would consider doing surgery for, here’s a link to that discussion:

But I’m not sure if that’s just for NHS patients, as he’s had to get a panel of doctors approval for surgery that way, it may well be different for private paying patients.
He has dismissed some patients on the NHS, but as far as I’m aware has not been rude…

Thank you, that’s helpful. My symptoms are closer to the classic definition described in that thread so that sounds promising at least. I’m not in the UK though so would be paying privately, so might not matter anyway if it’s an NHS-imposed restriction.

Yes, if it is just NHS restrictions then hopefully paying privately won’t matter…
