I am hopeful that the specialist that I see tomorrow will be able to offer some help. I struggle to have a conversation with anyone because it is so painful to talk. The jaw pain and lower face pain is relentless.
I am so sorry you are in such pain. Good luck tomorrow.
Big hugs and I hope you get some answers tomorrow… Let us know
Would love to hear how it goes? I’m in the same boat! But I also have swallowing and choking problems too! Sending positive energy ! God Bless!
Thanks for your well wishes!

The appointment for surgery has been scheduled for May 13th. I am optimistic but still frightened of the whole procedure. He said that my styloids are about 4.5 cm. The right one bothers me the most and that is the one he will remove. Hopefully, I will not have to have the left one taken out.

Not long to wait then! It's scary, but when things have got bad, it makes the decision to have surgery easier. There's lots of us all close together, so I'll add you to my prayer list, and hope that all goes well! I'm sure your class will miss you!
God Bless.
Just make sure you have a good person to help you the first week! And a good blender! To liquafy anything for you a juicier is great to have! Because keeping your strength will help and help coat your tummy while taking strong pain meds! Being scared is very normal! But after its all said and done’ You’ll be so happy you got it out! I’m about to schedule my 2nd side surgery 9 yrs later" And I’m very nervous as well! Many prayers and blessings’ Your surgery goes as planned! With a speedy recovery!
Sincerely’ Dee
Good luck to you too then Dee! I have been juicing prior to my surgery, to make sure I'm as healthy as I can be before it to help with healing. And it won't be a shock to the system afterwards!
Thank you very much! Same to you
Today is April 27 and I still have 16 days until my surgery and the pain is indescribable and never ending. I have been on vacation and have tried not to talk much for the past several days, with hopes that the pain would subside. Unfortunately….has not helped. I have no idea how I am going to work (teach 2nd grade) until my surgery date. Does anyone have any suggestions to help with the pain?
Will your Doctor prescribe you a baby dose of 5 mg percoset? My aunt is a Pharmacist" and she suggested I ask my Doctor? And he gave it to me along with a anti nausea medicine. I break it in half so Im getting 2.5 millgram. And i have 2 small kids’ So I don’t feel drugged up! And it works pretty good! They’ll give you something even stronger after your surgery. They gave me liquid Roxicet’ because it was like swallowing glass! For the next 3 weeks! I had intro oral aapproach and they had to remove the tonsil and that’s why the pain is more intense! But’ it was so worth it! And I will be scheduling my next surgery soon too! Feel Better! P.S" I’m not trying to endorse narcotics’ but it was the only thing that worked! And it’s a very small dose compared to a 10 mg. What most people get for pain. Way to strong for this mommy
POPSICKES and crushed ice!
Thanks Dee. I am already on a small pain meds for knee injury and use them to help at night. I teach 2nd grade and cannot take narcotics during the day! 11 more days and my surgery!!

I have a knee wrap that holds a cold bag. I have been using that on my jaw and it temporarily helps with the pain.

Wow you are really in need of help! Short of getting an injection in the site, I know of no pain med that will allow you to teach kids at the same time! Can you diagnosing doc do that?
