SO nervous now!

You are a huge help- thank you!

He has had my images and report for 5 weeks now. Was originally told I'd hear within a week (thought that seemed too hopeful). I have called about 3 times since.

I just hope once he calls, he will say I can make the appointment and get in soon. I am only south of Baltimore, so about 2 1/2 hours away.

That is a long wait. I wonder if his Eagle syndrome fame is making him extra busy.

Maybe. When the nurse asked why I was requesting his review, I said "Eagles Syndrome". She said "I thought so." ??

Did he call? If not, look for a vocal chord Specialist. The kind that work with singers and injuries. I'm in Ohio. I went to The James Center in Columbus, Ohio. Of course after 8 other Dr.'s told me it was my imagination. It Wasn't. The vocal Chord specialist removed mine and sent me home about 4 hours later. Outpatient surgery was mind blowing. It was the best thing I ever did. I wanted to go back to all the other Doctor's and ask them How they could miss this. But, I don't think they will care, really. Very few do. I used a heating pad and anti-inflammatory medications until my surgery.

That is really good to know, Mscynthia!

I never knew there was such a thing as a vocal cord surgeon! So nice he took you seriously. Did he remove both during the same operation?

Did you have any jugular compression? My pain is secondary to the jugular compression symptoms. Though it takes a pretty strong pain med to relieve that pain, so I don't take much if anything. A muscle relaxer at bedtime usually makes the next day a little more bearable.
