It’s been a year since my left side Eagle Surgery and almost six months since my right side surgery, I am so much better than I was four years ago when my life fell apart, I had to give up my job and had a hard time getting out of bed, my worst symptoms being continuous migraines and disabling vertigo, sleep was little to none.
Today I’m migraine free, still get the occasional pressure headache due to scar tissue build up and my sleep is still interrupted but I can get a three hour block of sleep, which for my age is actually pretty good lol.
My heart rate can still shoot up really quickly sometimes, makes me feel tight chested and gives me a pressure headache and my neck swells sometimes, but I’m doing great, this could also be POTS related, I’m exercising daily, finding it hard to find a job that will employ me with all my issues, so maybe early retirement is next, but hopefully this is a positive story for people out there, both my Eagle Syndrome surgeries were successful, good luck fellow Eagle Syndrome friends.
I do have a Minnesota Eagle Syndrome Facebook page, but sorry to say their really isn’t any specialists in our area as yet…
It’s so great to hear from you @Millymay! I really appreciate you taking the time to send an update & can only say that it’s so positive! We love hearing positive stories & are hopeful to acquire the names of one or more ES surgeons in your state in the not too distant future.
I hope that over the next 6 months you’ll continue to see reduction or resolution of the remaining symptoms. I had symptoms that were still present a year later that continued to fade over the next 9 years after my surgeries & are almost completely gone now. Our bodies work hard to recover, but it sure can take awhile!
Please pop in occasionally to say, hi, & let us know if you’ve had more recovery progress.
I’m so glad that the surgeries have helped you, & that at least you’re able to enjoy life now! I’m sorry that not everything has resolved, but it sounds as if enough has to help you live again! Thank you for sharing your story, it’s a reall encouragement. Take care & God Bless
