Wondering if anyone can give me a rough estimate of what the timeline of egents looks like for dr liu.
I jave submitted my images of my ct angiogram and they have confirmed they received them.
How long does it take for review/consult? I Do they normally order more imaging? If not, is surgery something scheduled within a couple months?
Just trying to get an idea because constantino doesnt look available for consult until novemeber.
@Krixen My situation was a little different because I had already had bilateral styloidectomies with Dr. Osborne in Dec 2025. I saw Dr. Liu for ongoing right-sided head pressure/nerve pain and an arcuate foramen that Dr. Aghayev had identified, so my surgery with Dr. Liu was not for the styloids themselves.
In my case, I received the extensive intake form right away, had a consult scheduled about a month out (which was moved up by about a week), and then surgery was scheduled within the following month. I had surgery August 11th. I know he has been getting a lot more Eagle consult requests, so timelines may be a bit longer now. He also required me to get an updated CTA/CTV, even though my previous one was less than two months old, so he may want newer imaging depending on what you already have and what he sees for surgical planning. I was able to get the updated CTA/CTV done locally, although I had to suggest that option.
Also, they scheduled a dynamic cerebral angiogram for the day before surgery for additional surgical planning, although the surgery itself was not contingent on those results.
I recently did my intake and am scheduled for a September 9th consult. So it was about a month out for the consult. I asked if they could bump me up and they said I had the first available slot because he was going on vacation. So there may be times when you can get the consult done even quicker.
So far my experience has been that they are more organized and much quicker to get things going than Dr. Hepworth in Denver. I waited 3 months for my consult with them, which I just had last week. I was very impressed with Dr. Hepworth’s Nurse Practitioner and she pointed out some things on my CTV that no one else had pointed out. I am very happy with them from that perspective but she wants to see me for an in person and I’ve been waiting three days and can’t even get a response to try and schedule it. Dr. Liu’s office, on the other hand, has been so quick with all of their communication. That alone leaves me very impressed.
For Dr. Hepworth, surgeries are out til at least December or January and while I don’t have a surgery timeline for Dr. Liu, I am certain it will be a much quicker turnaround.

Like bigfish noted I got an appt with Dr. Liu about a month out and perhaps it would have been sooner but he’s going on vacation through at least end of August. His NP Aida is very helpful but did request some patience as their office has been slammed with work as Dr. Liu has to perform emergency neurosurgery in addition to his specialty consult surgeries.
A month after uoloading documents or a month after the intake form? I havent seen this intake form yet.
I did all that same day, your mileage may vary as I’m sure he’s getting some backlog now with vacation. If you want to try for sooner consult/eval try Dr. Aghayev
@Krixen I would ask about it Monday, it could easily slip through the cracks for a few days and it is quite an extensive intake form.
Emily, who answered our call/emails said that shes out this entire week coming up. Is she the only one who answers these?
@Krixen No I would call again and let them know you need the intake form for Eagles. Aida Dr. Liu’s NP or Ashley Dr. Chancellor’s NP can get that to you.
Who did you receive the link from to upload your imaging?

Oh, I’m sorry I now remember I did actually have a delay between those steps. I followed up with Emily about a week after the uploads for an update, and soon then Aida called me and emailed me the intake questionnaire and scheduled a consult.
I hope Dr Lui’s office doesn’t go the same way as the other VES doctors’ - there are so few of them offering the surgery that they must get swamped…
