Has anyone had the non-whooshing/heartbeat type of tinnitus caused by Jugular Compression? If so was it cured by ES Surgery?
I had the pulsatile tinnitus which has been pretty much cured by surgery. I have ‘regular’ tinnitus but only mildly, surgery hasn’t made any difference to this, but I don’t know if it’s anything to do with ES though…There have been quite a few discussions about tinnitus so it might be worth searching for some.
I have regular tinnitus that is gotten a little better since surgery but didn’t resolve.
Hi, I had JV compression & VES and I had the heartbeat non-whoosh tinnitus you mention. It was worst when I went from lying to sitting up. It has improved a lot and I am only 3-4 weeks post VES surgery. Rarely I get it now when fluid gets trapped in my skull but I am optimistic that May resolve fully once I heal. Of course this is only one of the many benefits I hope to see from my VES surgery. D
