I got an order from my doctor for a CTV but I am having a hard time finding any radiology centers that do it near me. I am looking in the orange county area.
Are you needing a CT venogram with pressure manometry, or a standard CTV (a CT with contrast timed to show the venous blood flow)?
If it’s the venogram with pressure manometry, as this is quite specialised I don’t think that many places would do this, so you may have to travel; the doctors that members have mentioned doing this are:
Dr. Andrew Ducruet, cerebrovascular surgeon at Barrow ,
Dr Amans UCSF,
Dr Caton at Mt Sinai South Nassau
There might be more, hopefully other members will give you info, but if it is the more invasive CT you need it’s worth going with someone who’s done this for members before so it’s done right.
I know this could be time consuming, but you could Google - radiology clinics in Orange County & call down the list that comes up until you find one that will do the CTV for you. Since Orange County is so big there’s got to be someplace that knows what a CTV is & does them. Have you tried UC Irvine Medical Center?

You need a major hospital – I got mine at Cedars-Sinai, Mark Taper Imaging. Maybe UCI? I don’t know what the biggest hospital is down there. I believe UCLA up here also does them. And this is re: the “regular” CTV and not the balloon kind. – t.
