It doesn’t show the styloids that well, but I think I can see it the right side of the image. I can’t label images I’m afraid so can’t show you where I think I see it…
Who are you seeing, is it one of the doctors on our list, do you know that they’re familiar with ES? (Here’s a link in case you’ve not seen it)

I hope you get on okay with your ENT appointment, let us know how it goes!

Thank you for looking . I know it’s not the greatest pan, but I’ve been symptomatic for years and only getting worse. My CT shows intramular parasellar carotid calcification which manifests as Eagle’s. I’m seeing Dr. Jason Cundiff who is on the list .

Hi Jules, I talked to Dr. Cundiff, he actually called me , today to go over my brain MRI and my Head and Neck CT with contrast. As usual, their wasn’t anything remarkable, but he didn’t get a good look at my styloids. He’s ordering a neck CT with contrast and an MRV as he’s leaning towards Vascular Eagle’s due to my symptoms. I’ll sure be glad when I get an official diagnosis. I am hopeful since he specializes in Eagles. Thank you for taking the time to respond to my message.

That’s excellent news @Giamiacar! I’m so glad you saw a doctor familiar w/ ES who recognized the need for better imaging to REALLY see what’s going on & didn’t dismiss you based on what the MRI & CT you already had done didn’t show.

I expect you’ll hear a very different story once you get the scans done that he is referring you for. Please let us know once you get the results. :hugs:

Hi Giamiacar,
I was looking at your panorex and noticed something going on with the right angle of the mandible. The bone should be white and not dark. It could be from bad positioning with the x-ray, a bad duplicate of the original image or it could be from some pathology in the jaw. There is some darkness also on the left angle of the mandible. Styloids are not visible on this image. If the image is accurate you need to get that look at with a oral surgeon.

I’m so glad to hear that Dr. Cundiff is providing such care and attention
