Thanks @Warrick for clarifying the situation with UK doctors, I didn’t know that about Mr Timothy nor the update on Mr Higgins… Mr Axon is treating patients with IJV compressions privately though & prepared to do a C1 shave also if anyone reads this & can afford it!
If you’re going to see a physio, @byebyetwenties , here’s a link to a research paper written by one of our members for physios:
WESTBROOK et al. (2020) - Eagle’s syndrome, elongated styloid process and new evidence for pre-manipulative precautions for potential cervical arterial dysfunction – Doctor info and research article - General / Research Papers - Living with Eagle
You PT sounds helpful so hopefully he’ll be interested in reading the paper before he treats you & if you’re up to it then you probably will too…
There has been a discussion about CCI diagnosis & treatment in the UK,
Instability after styloidectomy? Curious what others have experienced/done about it - General - Living with Eagle
@PatientD gave advice here for a quick idea of whether you may have CCI:
Some members have been here for diagnosis:

@LimeZest said this ‘I think most us probably have ended up thinking along the same lines. Regarding CCI, if you can afford it, go to have a upright MRI scan at medserena in London, it’s expensive but I think the best we have to assess it. I am not super convinced by DMX, I haven’t had one myself we don’t have any in the UK or Europe. As far as I am aware the fee neurosurgeons in this field use the upright MRI measurements not DMX.’
I hope that this is helpful…regarding ADHD, it is taking forever to get children diagnosed, but there does seem to be more awareness and help now, I support families with children who have autism & ADHD, and things are improving a little, albeit slowly, & it does seem to vary from region to region!
