Surgery prep

I’m pleased that you’ve managed to get surgery, I’m sorry I can’t remember who’s doing your op?
I think the best way to get prepared mentally is to be informed as much as possible, and to get all the practical things you need ready too. Read post-op stories to get an idea of what to expect, and be realistic about healing- it’s not likely that symptoms will be immediately resolved, so be prepared for that, days 3-5 days can be the worst for swelling so expect those might be difficult, after that things can slowly improve, but some days might be better, some worse, one step forward & another back sometimes!
There’s info in the Newbies Guide Section, & a shopping list for items to get ready:

Have you got someone with you to support you?
You have faith, for me reading the psalms was an encouragement before surgery, & listening to worship songs.
Let us know when you have a date! :hugs:
