Surgery with Hepworth ubdate

Not well.

I seem to have come through the surgery okay, but I experienced a severe reaction to the medications/surgery.

I had to be hospitalized, and honestly, I felt near death. They said they think I had a MCAS reaction and that I also probably have Long COVID and or issues of Lyme disease.

At this point, the surgery was a mistake. My body and mind were not in a position for the consequences. I as so sick at times, I can barely stand.

Whatever happened has set me back and I am not for sure I can recover.

I also think they may have broken a bone in my left wrist. They said they strapped be down with my arms pulled back over my head. Crazyā€¦ huh.

Iā€™m sorry youā€™re still struggling w/ recovery. With your horrible symptoms pre-op, Iā€™m not sure there would have been a good time for surgery any time soon, & w/ the additional diagnoses, you may have had a similar physical reaction no matter when the surgery was done. I am still praying & expecting that you will notice some benefit from the surgery once youā€™ve had longer to recover.

That is very interesting. Were you given any explanation as to why they put you in that position? Iā€™d think the arms over the head would put them in the way of the neck during surgery. Have you considered getting your wrist x-rayed to see if you do have a broken bone? I think you should also get ahold of Dr. Hepworth to discuss this situation further.

I spoke to them yesterday and it turns out I have a blood clot in my arm.

Going today to remove stiches and evaluate it to see if they need to do anything.

Praying for you as wellā€¦

Iā€™m so sorry that youā€™re feeling so sick, but it did sound as if you were feeling terrible before surgery and didnā€™t seem as if you had any choice but to take the chanceā€¦you obviously are really suffering right now, Iā€™m praying that you start to turn the corner soon and that the surgery does help
