Hello I’m planning to have surgery this summer in Mexico and I’m trying to find any stories or references of people that have had surgery with Mexican doctors. My two options until now are Dr. Moises Guerrero a maxillofacial surgeon in Guadalajara. He is my first option as I also live in Guadalajara. I do see he has a lot of videos about this surgery in the web. My second option is ENT Adelaido Lopez Chavira located in Mexico City…but I currently do not know anyone that has had surgery with him. I’m currently in the process of checking this procedure with my insurance. Thanks!

We’ve had very few members from Mexico on our forum & I’m sorry to say no one recently. At least one came to the US for surgery but we’ve had at least one member from the US who went to Mexico for surgery. You can search for posts where Mexico is mentioned by clicking on the magnifying glass image in the upper right of this page & typing “Mexico” in the search box. Posts where Mexico is mentioned will be listed for you to read. Someone mentioned a doctor in Mexico City but never told us his name so I don’t know if it was Dr. Chavira or not. I think she’s the one who ended up coming to the US for surgery because her situation was more complicated.
