Hi All,
Attached are two shots from today's CT scan. I know we are not Docs but would love to get any non- professional feedback you may have. This was w/o contrast.
Thanks !
Eddie

Docs office called back and said not a clear case of ES. Did say I have serious degeneration between the skull base and C1 ....fun fun !
- I may send CT to one of our preferred docs and will follow up with specialists.
Thanks
Good luck with chasing it up Eddie- did they give you any info on the degeneration?
Not yet - am trying to get a copy of radiology report now. ENT said I should go to ortho or neuro - headed to neuro (thursday am) at Emory and need referral to get into their neurosurgery group. A whole new ball of wax !

Do you think your symptoms are a result of the disc degeneration?

I think this would be a good idea. It can't hurt.
eddieh - did you see the report for the CT scan? I'm wondering if they picked up anything regarding the styloids? What side is your pain on?
It's hard for me to remember exactly because I've been to so many doctors over the last 4 years and had so many tests - but if I recall correctly - my local ENT didn't see my Eagles with a regular CT scan, but finally did with a CT scan with contrast. But I know quite a few doctors say all you need is a regular CT scan. So I'm really not sure what we need. Maybe it's different case by case?
The Docs office said the symptoms might be due to this new found Atlas / C-1 issue. I've not gotten a report yet but have been researching it. I had a c-spine MRI and x-ray in Jan - neither caught this issue. Looks like the main cranial nerves and internal carotid are involved in this area.
On my lateral x-ray - pls take a look at the C1 vertebrae - it looks like its pressing against something pretty big ....any ideas?
Thanks,
Eddie
