I am recently diagnosed with an elongated styloid process. I have not found any Eagle's Syndrome experienced doctors in internet searches of local hospitals. The closest doctor from the spreadsheet gathered from this site is in Cleveland. Does anyone know of someone in Michigan?
It’s probably not much help to you but I’m in Columbus, Ohio. Geographically not too far away There is a very experienced surgeon out of (ah geez I hate to say it because I am NOT at all a fan!) Ohio State University named Dr. Arick Forrest. On 8/9/13 I was his 53rd Eagles surgery. He is very personable, takes his time, explains things in detail and is timely. I was referred to him, had an appointment within 3 weeks, had a diagnosis in a week and a surgery scheduled within 4 weeks. Not too shabby, for a Buckeye All jokes aside, his credentials are outstanding and the results thus far are pretty amazing. I think I’ll trust him with the other side in a few months.
Hope this helps I wish you much luck in you search closer to home in beautiful Michigan
Dear Innaea,
I’m also a Michigander from the Detroit Metro area. I’ve been working with the Doctors at Troy Beaumont Orthopaedic Spinal Surgery to fix my cervical spinal stenosis. My Osteo-Arthritis of my spine was in such bad shape it had to be fixed first. Now I have had an Anterior Cervical Spinal Fusion from C-3 to C-7. Now I can get a better idea what symptoms are remaining that maybe due to ES. I’m still having Headaches but they are not daily Migraines! Also still having earaches! Muscle pain is still an issue in my neck? Trouble swallowing and sore throat. I was Diagnosed at Henry Ford Hospital ENT by a soft tissue MRI with contrast and without. The ENT Surgeon Dr. Glendon Gardner has had experience with ES. He wasn’t very interested in helping me. As I had not had my neck surgery yet. There is also another ENT Surgeon in AnnArbor. I might follow up on that or possibly look into Ohio?
You've been very helpful thank you. Ha ha, it is funny about those buckeyes. Thank you for spending the time. I'm still hoping the one I found is good, I have't seen him yet. I'll post. Thanks again.

Thank you! I will look into the doctor at Beaumont in Troy. I am closer to the Royal Oak hospital, but you should see the world of difference in the rating Consumer Reports just gave the two. So I will go see the guy near me and see how it goes, then if he stinks, I will defiantly contact the doctors in Troy. Thank you again for sharing your experience. I am very grateful. Best of luck in your treatment!

How are things progressing for you? Have you found a Michigan-based doctor? I'm over on the west side of the state and have just started looking for a doctor.
