So sorry that surgery with Dr Osborne is too expensive, but really pleased he confirmed the calcified ligament for you, at least you know that now…Are you able to get a written report from him? that would be handy to have for future appointments!
I hope that you can get an injection to help you while you search for another doctor…
Good Morning,
I called Dr Henry Chen, Los Angeles, Cedars-Sinai 1- 800- 233- 2771 Find a Cedars-Sinai Doctor | Cedars-Sina
Dr Chen is not longer in practice with Cedars and is in private practice for plastic surgery
Thank you for letting us know. I’ll remove him from our Doctors List.
With all these doctors that I am seeing and calling we will have a very up to date list lol.
And we truly appreciate your help keeping the list up to date!!
I requested a written report and was told they would not give me any notes or diagnosis. I sent him imaging we had a video conference. He definitively diagnosed me with the calcified ligament sent me paperwork and all the pricing for surgery. I just think it’s crazy that they can send me paperwork for surgery but they cannot send me any notes from our visit, they said they could send me a receipt for my payment when I spoke with Dr. Osborne on the video chat he said I could message him at any time, I feel like the whole thing is a scam
And it’s harder than heck to get in with Chhetri. I’m aware that he might not do the surgery at least maybe he could give me this steroid shot or lidocaine injection that everybody keeps talking about that seems to be so elusive I can’t find anybody to do it. I put on 10 pounds from the Lyrica, which makes me even more miserable, even with the referral from his colleague referral from Dr. Yian the scheduler is still giving me a very hard time. I am so tired and so frustrated and pisses…. I am mad at this whole process
@stephanie, I believe it’s a law that if you consult w/ a doctor, you have the right to your consultation notes whether it’s an in person or video consult, just as you’re privy to all the information in the medical chart any doctor keeps regarding care (s)he’s given. I’m not sure where you could find out more about that, but you’re right that Dr. Osborne’s unwillingness to release your consultation notes seems unethical or like you’ve been scammed.
I am really sorry you’re having such a hard time getting in to see doctors who could help you even w/ solid referrals. Would you be able to travel to northern CA as Dr. Damrose at Stanford has a good track record?
So sorry that you’ve been messed about and are finding it hard to get in with anyone else, will pray you find the right doctor
Hi Stephanie, I am wondering if you ever found a surgeon in California that you liked. I am having surgery with Chettri
Have you got a date for your surgery @Spedula ?
By the time I have my 2nd consultation with him, he is booking out 12 weeks, so the earliest would be October. which just seems like personal torture I put on myself, because I froze after being diagnosed and was so scared ot move forward with anyone, not just him. All I hear about is 3-4 surgeons, nd I panicked that he wouldn’t do a good job. But I’m leaning into it and continuing to try to see Hackman, and if something changes, then so be it, but I need to start, or it’ll be 2026 before anyone can help me. Sorry for the long answer
Did you have surgery?
You can look up past discussions about Dr Chettri, all the doctors on our list have done successful surgery… We are seeing more members who have vascular ES which makes the surgery more complicated, which could be why you see the same few doctors names coming up! It’s a big decision so it’s not surprising that you felt worried about committing to surgery…
I’ve had surgery, I’m in the UK & was lucky enough to live near one of the most experienced UK doctors. I had vascular ES & the vascular symptoms improved massively after my first surgery.
