Update: Revision surgery woth Hackman

Last post: Leftover 1.5cm between arteries and new complications post 5 years after bilateral styloidectomy

Hey everyone, I had my revision surgery as well as removal of right thyroid ligament and I’m finally discharged!

During my surgery they unfortunately found a large Level 2 lymph node sitting in the upper part of my neck, near the angle of the jaw and around the upper part of the jugular vein. This could have been causing some of the compression I’ve been having. I had felt it for awhile but never thought anything of it other than allergies maybe. They sent it off for testing and said I should hear back in about 1-2 weeks.

Im very swollen, still loopy and very weak and still in a lot of pain. But doing my best.

Missing my babies.. My 2 year old daughter and my 10 year old lab. But recovering at a friend’s house for a few days before I drive back home.

Hopefully the lymph node is just swollen from the inflammation of those calcifications…take care and rest as much as you can, hope you feel better soon, hugs and prayers :hugs: :folded_hands: :bouquet:

@Asumhannah - Is there any way your friend can help you drive home? It doesn’t sound like you’re in any condition to make a 2.5 hr drive tomorrow. It would be better if you could either wait a few more days or have someone take you home so you get there safely for your daughter & your dog. :hugs:
