Deep scar tissues management after styloidectomy

Hi I got styloidectomy procedure a year ago but now dense fibrous bands at surgical site is compressing ijv and I am getting symptoms that make me suicidal and here no doctor knows about jugular venous outflow disorder!

Please recommend me some non surgical treatment to soft scar tissues so that the pressure on ijv is removed :folded_hands::sob::sad_but_relieved_face:

First off, I want to share the suicide hotline for your country and this is the information- Pakistan – PROGRESS.guide

Are you able to return to your doctor and communicate this clearly with them? It may be that you need medication treatment while the rest of it is sorted out, but you matter and this is very concerning

@334455 - Some of our members have had cold laser therapy to treat excess scar tissue. I don’t know if that would be safe for scar tissue surrounding the IJV, but it’s something you could investigate. You need to see someone who is very experienced in doing cold laser therapy as it needs to be kept away from your thyroid. I’m so sorry we don’t know of doctors who specifically treat IJV compression in your country, but there must be someone there who has some experience with it. You could try seeing a neurosurgeon or vascular surgeon to get an opinion, & if they can’t help, maybe they could give you a referral to someone who could.

I sure wish I could help you more. I will pray for you to find help as soon as possible. :folded_hands:

I’m sorry that you’re feeling so bad too…
It’s not answering your question about scar tissue, but if you’re getting awful IJV compression symptoms, there have been some discussions about medications which can help with that, & supplements too, so that might be worth considering to help you manage?
'Some members have tried different medications and supplements to help with some of the vascular ES effects:

Plavix, Brillinta, Eliquis, Xarelto, Diamox.

It’s is recommended that members check with a doctor before trying supplements in case there’s any adverse interactions with medication, but these have been mentioned as helpful:

Trimetazidine & Citicoline:

Creatine:

Some other supplements which might help:
Fish oils; natural blood thinner and it’s anti-inflammatory.
IV Vitamin C (can be a natural blood thinner)
Vitamin D also anti-inflammatory
Magnesium can help with headaches.’
One of our members has mentioned Neubie Therapy, which uses electrodes with pulsed currents to help recovery, I don’t know if this is available in your country or if it might help with scar tissues…

I have had great results with a variety of tissue mobilization techniques including dry needling, Graston, ART and something called scar tissue remediation. I also regularly work the area myself with skin rolling and massage.
